The massive controversy surrounding the authenticity of the pictures that surfaced over the social media showing the Congress president Rahul Gandhi on his Kailash Mansarovar visit died on Friday as few pictures and videos of the Congress chief with few pilgrims were posted on social media.

The photographs of Rahul from Kailash Mansarovar were shared by fellow pilgrims and they were an instant hit.

Rahul on Tuesday and Wednesday posted the photographs of the Mansarovar lake and captioned it “there is no hatred here.” However, he did not post any of his photographs. He termed the lake as “gentle, tranquil and calm.”

“The waters of lake Mansarovar are so gentle, tranquil and calm. They give everything and lose nothing. Anyone can drink from them. There is no hatred here. This is why we worship these waters in India,” Gandhi tweeted.

The Congress chief is on a 12-day visit to Kailash Mansarovar and has covered around 40,000 steps by foot as per a screenshot shared by the official Twitter handle of the Congress party.

"Leaving all the haters behind, Congress President sets the pace during his . Can you keep up?," tweeted Congress. 

Earlier, a massive controversy broke out as many accused Rahul Gandhi of the “authenticity of the pictures.”
