Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday highlighted his views on a number of issues including Rohith Vemula, demonetisation, cow vigilantism, RSS and much more.
Speaking at the 'Quest for Equity' event, organised by Karnataka Government, to mark the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, Gandhi attacked Modi Government at the range of issues.
Let's have a look:
On Rohith Vemula:
"I don't call it suicide, I call it murder. Rohith (Vemula) was crushed and murdered by the indignities he suffered"
"Publicly they called it a stroke of genius, privately they called it insanity"
"What is happening today is the systematic capture of India's democratic institutions. By the PM, bureaucrats and the RSS"
On cow vigilantism
"Md Akhlaq is butchered because they say he stole a calf. It was a lie. Instead of questioning his (Md Akhlaq) brutal killing they ask whether the meat in the fridge was mutton or beef"
On Modi Govt
"Hitler once wrote "Keep a very firm grasp on reality so you can strangulate it anytime". Today this is what is happening around us"\
"The emperor is completely naked but nobody around him has the courage to tell him"
