In a third such incident in a week, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was shown black flags in Amethi by a mob who were protesting against the JNU row. 

Earlier in the day, Rahul interacted with locals in his constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

On Thursday, the Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members showed black flags to Rahul in Lucknow before he attended the 'Dalit conclave'.

Aslo, clashes broke out on Thursday between BJYM and Youth Congress members ahead of Rahul’s speech at the Dalit Netratitva vikas sammelan in Lucknow.

On February 14, Rahul was Saturday shown black flags by ABVP members as he reached the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) amid a row over an event held on the campus against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

Slogans of “Rahul Gandhi Go Back” were also raised by ABVP members at the campus. The Congress Vice President was there to join a protest against the arrest of JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar.
