Just after following Union Minister Harsmirat Kaur Badal’s comment that Punjab’s drug-test rule should begin with Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy claimed that the Congress chief is under the influence of cocaine and will fail the dope test.
“Rahul Gandhi takes cocaine and will fail dope test’,†said Swamy to a leading press agency, while commenting on Badal’s statement.

Earlier in the day, the Union Minister of Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal had attacked the Congress president by saying, “All those leaders including those who called ‘70% Punjabis ‘Nashedis’ should undergo the dope test first.â€

Notably, the Union Minister was hinting at the Congress president’s five-year-old statement where he had claimed that 70 per cent of the youth across Punjab are under the influence of drugs.
