New Delhi:
The Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi may take over as the party chief hinted Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president (RPCC) Sachin Pilot on Sunday.
The Congress leader from Rajasthan in an interview to PTI said, “Time had come for the party vice-president to lead from the front.”
Pilot in the interview also added that Rahul Gandhi’s elevation had been in the pipeline for long.
Pilot added that the last names of leaders should not be treated as a disqualification in politics.
“The performance of a leader decides his worth,” Pilot said.
Pilot further added that the party member’s want Rahul Gandhi to take charge and lead the party in front.

Pilot also mentioned that Gandhi as vice-president has been handling a lot of work as the vice-president.
The RPCC chief also added that the organisational elections of the Congress are underway.
The RPCC chief brushed aside BJP’s criticism that the Congress has been promoting dynastic politics.
He said, “Many of their (BJP) leaders are also from political families.”
