New Delhi:

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday addressed party workers at the four achievement function of Karnataka Govt in Bengaluru. Rahul launched scathing attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech.

Rahul said that he was informed by Congress President Sonia Gandhi that PM Modi’s speech on Independence Day was very short. Rahul added that PM Modi has now nothing left to say.

Speaking on the farm loan waiver by BJP in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, Rahul said that BJP was forced to take such action due to pressure from Congress party.

Rahul accused PM Modi of not taking many burning issues in the Independence Day speech.

"The PM did not tell you on Aug 15, that the rate of unemployment is highest in 8 years, he had promised 2 crore jobs yearly. The PM did not tell you that more than 90 babies died in Gorakhpur due to his healthcare policies," said Rahul.

Rahul said that the NDA government had cut healthcare budget and that is why the hospital could not buy oxygen cylinders for the babies.

Rahul also raked up the issue of standoff with China by saying that some time back Chinese president came to India, while our PM was hugging him, a thousand Chinese soldiers entered our territory.

"Yesterday did anyone hear the PM say that the Chinese forces are still sitting inside Bhutan?," said Rahul.

On the Kashmir issue, Rahul said that they worked hard in 10 years to bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir which was all destroyed in one month by Modi Govt.

Speaking on the diplomacy, Rahul said that for the first time Russia is selling arms to Pakistan, in last 3 years Modi Govt has created problems with friendly nations.

"All neighbours except Pakistan and China were our allies, but this has changed now. Nepal alienated, China building port in Sri Lanka," said Rahul.
