Rahul's vehicle attacked: Congress blames 'BJP goons', says opponents not allowed to practice democratic politics

Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Friday condemned the attack on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s vehicle, alleging that “BJP’s goons” attacked the leader with cement bricks. He said it should be condemned unequivocally.

Singhvi said that the SPG personnel who were with Rahul Gandhi also sustained injuries.

The Congress leader questioned, “Are we reaching a space in our democracy where political opponents are not going to be allowed to practice democratic politics?”

Reacting on Twitter, Congress spokesperson RS Surjewala said it was “disgusting and disgraceful” that Rahul Gandhi‘s car attacked by “BJP goons” in Banskantha of Guajart.

Rahul was visiting Banskantha to meet flood- hit people of the state. He also met people of Jalore in Rajasthan.
