The Rajasthan government’s insensitivity came into light when it declared several families “poor” by writing on the wall outside their homes. The officials also wrote that they take ration under National Food Security Act (NFSA).

In Dausa district of the state, several families living below poverty line (BPL) take wheat under NFSA.

The government officials, associated with wheat distribution, have declared them poor by writing on the wall of their residences that they are taking ration under NFSA as they are poor. The officials cited the reason behind the move to segregate unentitled people from the scheme.

Now, the state government is in the eye of a storm and the main opposition party Congress lashed out at the government, saying that it is ridiculing the poor of the state.
