In a horrifying incident, a premature baby’s head was left inside the womb when the nurses at Ramgarh health center in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer allegedly pulled the baby too hard by the nurse during the delivery, according to news agency ANI. After the botched delivery, the nurse didn't inform the family of the woman that the head of the baby was left inside the womb and deposited the body in the hospital mortuary. The nurse then told the family to take the woman to Jaisalmer hospital.
Unaware of the fact that the head of the baby was still in the womb, the woman was taken to Jawahar Hospital in Jaisalmer. However, the doctors at the hospital found the placenta too hard to extract and referred the woman to Umaid Hospital in Jodhpur where the head was finally extracted from the womb.
"The reports from the Ramgarh health center stated that delivery had been done. Also, the family didn't inform that the head of the baby was inside the womb. On examining her I found the placenta to be hard and referred her to Jodhpur," said Dr Sankhla of the Jawahar Hospital.
