Rajnath Singh arrives in Jammu and Kashmir, held discussions with governor

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, on Wednesday arrived in Srinagar on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review the security situation in the state.

“Heading to Srinagar on a two day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. During this visit the security situation of the state will be reviewed. Shall also perform darshan at the holy cave of Shri Amarnathji,” Singh had tweeted.

Soon after reaching, the union home minister held discussions with Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan on various important issues relating to security management, implementation of development programmes and positive engagement of the youth in the state.

Singh is accompanied by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, an official spokesperson said, adding the governor briefed the union home minister about the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

Singh will visit Amarnath shrine on Thursday.
