On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a 103-year-old widow on Monday tied 'Rakhi' on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wrist.
Sharbati Devi had lost her brother 50 years ago whom she was missing badly. She expressed her feelings to her son and asked him to write a letter to PM Modi. In order to fulfil his mother's desire, he then wrote a letter to the Prime Minister.
PM Modi then invited her to his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. She was extremely excited and delighted to meet the PM.
Earlier in the day, widows from Vrindavan also tied Rakhi to the PM. Apart from them, some students also came at his residence to tie him home-made Rakhis.
The Prime Minister expressed his feelings via Twitter and congratulates people on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
