Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Singh to continue to lead the sect, informed his son Jasmeet Insaan during a press conference on Tuesday.

Jasmeet added that the violence which erupted in Panchkula was distrssing. She said, “I have my sympathy with the innocent people who suffered due to the violence.”

The jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s son further added, “I am saddened that distorted facts have been circulated about the sect and our chief.”

Earlier, there were rumors and claims by different people of the Dera Sacha Sauda sect that Gurmeet Singh’s son Jasmeet Insaan would be the leader of the sect.

Gurmeet Singh who was sentenced to 20 years in jail for raping two women, has challenged the Panchkula CBI Court order in Punjab & Haryana High Court.

Dera chief is currently serving jail term in Rohtak’s Sunaria Jail. The special SBI court in Haryana’s Panchkula on August 25 had convicted Gurmeet Singh for raping two of his convicts. Massive violence had erupted in Haryana and neighbouring states including Delhi, Punjab, UP and Rajasthan.
