Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday said that Gorakhpur children deaths are heart-wrenching. Paswan added that he was unable to sleep for last two days and will urge Yogi Adityanath to take action on the incident.
"Heart-wrenching; I am unable to sleep for the last two days. Will speak to Yogi Adityanath, strong action should be taken," said Paswan.
Speaking on children’s death in Gorakhpur, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said that it is very sad. He added that it is murder of children.
The death toll in Gorakhpur’s BRD Hospital continues to rise one more child lost life to encephalitis in early hours of Saturday. The agency reports in the morning had indicated that the hospital continues to suffer from shortage of Oxygen supply, which had allegedly led to the death of 64 children over six days.
The state-run Baba Raghav Das Medical College is infamous for high mortality rate in underage patients. Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had visited the hospital in his Lok Sabha Constituency on August 9 to ensure review operations.
