From Ram Temple-Babri Masjid case to Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has opinions on all blazing issues in the country. Addressing a gathering at Gyan Kumbh 2018 in Haridwar, the Patanjali owner on Sunday waded into the raging debate regarding population growth in the country, saying "bachelors like me should be respected more (Is desh mein jo hamari tarah se vivah na kare unka vishesh samman hona chahiye)".
"Those who marry and give birth to more than two kids should not be allowed to vote (Vivah kare, to 2 se jyada santaan paida kare to uski voting right nahi honi chahiye)," Ramdev added while the crowd greeted him with applause.

"However, those who has the “resources” and “necessity” to raise kids may have more than two. Having several children was a part of India’s traditions and customs when the population was lower," the Yoga Guru added.
Apart from Ramdev, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Patanjali Ayurved MD Acharya Balkrishna were also present at Gyan Kumbh 2018 at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar.
On Saturday, Ramdev made a strong pitch for constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya, saying a legislation should be brought in Parliament if the Supreme Court does not deliver a verdict on the matter soon.
