Witnessing a brawl in Delhi University’s Ramjas College, a student of Lady Sri Ram College, who also happens to be a daughter of Kargil martyr, launched a social media campaign, "I am not scared of ABVP", which has gone viral.
Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, posted a picture on Facebook holding a placard which read "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP".
Joining Twitteratis who reacted on social media on the issue, former Indian cricketer Virendra Sehwag said: “Bat me hai Dum! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi.” The cricketer’s reaction clearly shows that which side he batted for. He was seen standing with placard which read," I did not score two triple centuries. my bat did."
In a Facebook status, Kaur wrote, "The brutal attack on innocent students by ABVP is very disturbing and should be stopped. It was not an attack on protesters, but an attack on every notion of democracy that is held dear in every Indian's heart. It is an attack on ideals, morals, freedom and rights of every person born to this nation."
Kaur had already posted a video in the month of May which had gone viral. It said: “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him.”
