Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh on Tuesday posted an emotional video on Facebook where he apologised to Amitabh Bachchan for his behaviour. Singh, who was once considered to be one of the closest friends of Amitabh, said he regrets for using harshest words against the actor's wife - Jaya Bachchan. "If not anything, he was elder to me. I should have been more sober to him. Now, I realise, I must express regret for the harsh words I used (against them)," Singh said. The former Samajwadi Party leader further added that even after his ill treatment against the Bachchan family, the later didn’t had any bitterness against him.
Visibly feeble, Amar Singh, half-laying on a couch posted the video after receiving Amitabh Bachchan's message on the death anniversary of his father.
"He has some feelings. That's why he has conveyed his tributes on my father's death anniversary. Acknowledging that I would urge the God to give justice to all according to their karma. We should leave it to the almighty," Amar Singh further added.
Today is my father’s death anniversary & I got a message for the same from @SrBachchan ji. At this stage of life when I am fighting a battle of life & death I regret for my over reaction against Amit ji & family. God bless them all.

Amar Singh, also took to Twitter and wrote, "He has some feelings. That's why he has conveyed his tributes on my father's death anniversary. Acknowledging that I would urge the God to give justice to all according to their karma. We should leave it to the almighty."
Singh and the Bachchans were close family friends till they fell apart nearly a decade ago. Diagnosed with a kidney ailment a few years ago, Singh has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
The relationship between Singh and Bachchan’s witnessed fallout in 2010 after Singh was expelled from the Samajwadi Party. Jaya Bachchan, however, chose to avoid siding with Amar Singh and retained her association with the party.
In a 2017 interview to ABP news, Singh claimed that Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were living separately. “Even before I met Amitabh Bachchan, he and Jaya Bachchan were living separately. In their two bungalows, Janak and Pratiksha. People blame me for every possible problem in the country. I am not even responsible for the rift between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan,” he said.
