Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani on Monday announced that his company will make several announcements related to investment Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh – the two Union Territories that have been formed after the abrogation of Article 370 of Indian Constitution. The managing director of RIL also said that will form a special task force for developmental activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Responding to Honourable PM’s appeal, we stand committed to support the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in all their development needs. RIL will create special task force for developmental activities in J&K and Ladakh, said Mukesh Ambani," Ambani said while speaking at the 42nd annual general meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries Ltd.
He made this statement days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation said that removal of Article 370, which granted special rights to Jammu and Kashmir, will propel private sector investment in the newly formed Union Territory.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio Fiber services will be launched on September 5, 2019. It is to be noted that on September 5, Jio will celebrate its third anniversary.
The basic plan for Jio fiber services will start at 100 Mbps and will go up to 1 Gbps at the price ranging between Rs 700 to Rs 10,000 per month. Notably, the cheapest data plan is priced at Rs 700 a month and has speeds up to 100Mbps. On the other hand, the top-end plan comes at Rs 10,000 a month which also provides access to broadband, Jio HomeTV and Jio's IoT.
Mukesh Ambani further said that voice calls from home will be free forever. The plan also features an unlimited international calling pack at Rs 500 per month, for fixed line services.
Ambani said, "ISD calling tariffs would be 1/5th to 1/10th of industry rates. We are offering unlimited US/Canada pack at Rs 500 per month."
