Netizens are trolling RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his grand mid-air birthday bash photos. Many are reminding him of his jailed father, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad. Dressed in crisp white pyjama-kurta, Tejashwi Yadav sported a clean-shaven look for his birthday celebrations. He can be seen cutting a beautiful chocolate cake in one of the photos. Another shows him thoughtfully looking out of the window of the chartered plane. On November 9, Tejashwi Yadav turned 30. But the celebration didn’t go well with many netizens as well as several political parties. Both BJP and the JDU chastised him for such an expensive birthday party. Bihar BJP spokesperson Dr Nikhil Anand took to Twitter and slammed Tejashwi Yadav.
“Brother @YadavTejashwi! It is the collective responsibility of the next generation to establish Bihar's politics with high idealistic values on the foundation of ethics, policy-theory, ideology and organization. But seeing you celebrate your birthday while flying in a chartered flight, I think that value system has become huge challenge.”
“It is regrettable that your party claims to be pro-poor. But instead of celebrating birthday with people as their leader, you celebrated your birthday as he crown prince. It is sad that there is a gathering of special people around you, not leaders-activists,” Dr Anand said. “I wish you had become better leader and successful leader of RJD than the just being a Twitter boy. At a time when @laluprasadrjd is in jail, you are wasting your father’s political legacy. Dear brother, we did not know the reality of your socialist and social justice paradise so much!,” Dr Anand said. .Talking to News Nation, JDU spokesman Sanjay Singh alleged that he shouldn’t have celebrate in such a fashion when his father Lalu Prasad Yadav is in jail.
"Who said Bihar is a poor state? Birthday celebration of Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu, in a private jet," tweeted one user. "Is he a leader of the poor of Bihar," questioned another Twitter user. "Heights of poverty...!" -- mocked a tweet.
Between Tej Pratap and Tejashwi, the younger brother is seen as political heir of Lalu Prasad.
