Resident Indians living abroad from Nov 9 to Dec 30 can exchange old notes up to March 31, 2017

The Reserve Bank of India on Sunday announced that resident Indian citizens who were living abroad from Nov 9 to Dec 30 can exchange old notes up to March 31, 2017.

The Reserve Bank of India on Sunday announced that resident Indian citizens who were living abroad from Nov 9 to Dec 30 can exchange old notes up to March 31, 2017.

The RBI has also announced that NRIs who were abroad during this period can also exchange their old notes up to June 30, 2017.

“While there is no monetary limit for exchange for eligible Resident Indians, limit for NRIs will be as per the relevant FEMA Regulations,” said RBI.
