Retired Indian Air Force officer, wife murdered in Bhopal

A retired Air Force officer and his wife were found dead with slit throats in their residence in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal on Friday.

Madhya Pradesh Police identified the retired IAF officer as G K Nair, 70, and his wife Gomti, 68.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dharmendra Choudhary told the media that maid of the house alerted their neighbours after the elderly couple did not respond to the calling bell.

Bhopal Police said, residence of Narmada Green Valley forced peeped through the keyhole and to their shock they found the duo lying in pool of blood.

A senior officer part of the investigation team added that the duo were attacked with a sharp weapon. “No valuables and household goods were stolen. We suspect it a case of revenge and old enmity,” added the officer.

The state police has also announced Rs 20000 award for giving any clues for the murder.
