Rift in SP: Mulayam removes Ram Gopal Yadav as Lohia trust secretary, appoints Shivpal

Samajwadi Party mentor and Lohia trust president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday removed Ram Gopal Yadav from the post of trust’s secretary and appointed Shivpal Singh Yadav.

The decision was taken after a meeting of trust was convened in Lucknow on Thursday. The move displayed that cracks still persist within the party.

Samajwadi Party’s state convention will also be held later this month. On this, Shivpal Singh Yadav said that he has not received any invitation for the same.

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal  Yadav skipped the meeting. Trust members Rajesh Yadav and Bhagwati Singh attended the meet.
