The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has received over 40,000 complaints of alleged corruption so far this year, a rise of about 8,300 over last year, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday.
The CVC has received 40,517 complaints between January and June this year as against 32,149 received during the last year, he said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
The Commission had received 64,410 and 35,332 complaints in 2014 and 2013.
