Samajwadi Party will win 2017 UP Polls, claims RJD Supremo Lalu Yadav

Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Sunday claimed that the ruling Samajwadi Party will win next year’s assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav made his prediction during an interaction with mediapersons here on Sunday.

“Samajwadi Party government will have another term in Uttar Pradesh after the assembly elections in the state,” he said.

The RJD supremo said he did not find anything wrong in Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi skipping visit to Ram temple during his Ayodhya visit.

“Since he had taken blessings of Lord Hanuman, automatically he has taken blessings of Ram as both are one,” he said.

During his visit here, Yadav paid obeisance at the Sita Ram Ashram near Maghera on Vrindaban Goverdhan road and termed its late founder Baba Narain Das Mahajara a great ‘Tapasvi’ (saint).

He couldn’t resist taking a jibe at RSS, commenting, “He (Baba Narain Das) was not like dhongi baba of RSS,”.
