RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday said Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has not asked for Tejashwi’s resignation. Lalu said that Grand Alliance is intact and Nitish Kumar will remain leader of the same.
"Nitish Kumar is leader of grand alliance. We will not tolerate any disrespect towards him," Lalu Yadav said.
He further said,"We have formed the grand alliance, made Nitish CM. Why will we break the alliance?"
RJD had called a meeting of its MLAs as the Assembly is going to kick off from July 28. JD(U) has also called a meeting in the evening to discuss the fate of the alliance.
A few days back, two senior RJD leaders had targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of cosying up to the BJP, as the war of words had intensified between the ruling allies in Bihar, JD(U) and RJD, over graft allegations against Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav.
"Is Nitish Kumar bathed in milk ? He is with BJP in the night and with RJD during day time," RJD Araria MP Mohammad Taslimuddin had said as he defended Tejaswi, who has been named as an accused by CBI in the land-for-hotels case.
