The West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights on Wednesday filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against notification of the Government of India to identify and deport Rohingyas, ANI reported.

Earlier in the day, reacting on Rohingyas issue, Union Finance Minsiter Arun Jaitley said that it is a policy issue and the government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard.

“This is a policy issue and the government has submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard,” Jaitley said.

On Sunday, Delhi Police special cell arrested an Al Qaeda operative Shomon (Shauman) Haq from Vikas Marg area of the national capital.

According to the police, Shumon, a Briton came to India from Bangladesh to recruit people to espouse Rohingya insurgents in violence-hit Myanmar.
