Ryan murder case: Gurugram DC says 'crime scene has been sanitised to ensure no evidence gets destroyed'

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh on Monday said following orders by Directorate of Education, he will look after accounts of school management for next three years.

The Haryana government had decided to take over the management of Ryan International School, Gurugram after the 7–yr-old boy, Pradyuman Thakur, was murdered in school premises on September 8.

Singh said they had a meeting with parents where the latter raised security concerns. He said,”A parents-teacher meeting has been scheduled for September 23.”

When asked about that evidence can be tampered as Pradyuman’s father was also apprehensive, he said,” Since school is re-opened, entire area (crime scene) has been sanitised so that no evidence gets destroyed.”

A few parents opposed the move to reopen the school on Monday. When asked if the school remains open on Tuesday, Singh said they would put safety audit on internal portal for parents to see, and then they would decide on it.”
