Pradyuman’s father Barun Thakur has filed an application before the Gurgaon Juvenile Justice board for trial of Ryan International School class XI student, apprehended by CBI in connection with murder of eight-year-old boy, as an adult on Wednesday.

The Juvenile Justice Board has listed to hear the application November 22. Pradyuman’s father in the application has termed the murder within the school campus as rarest of rare, cold blooded and barbarous.

He also mentioned that the apprehended student was above 16-years-old and per amendment made in the Juvenile JUstice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 the accused should be treated as an adult.

Thakur has also mentioned that the way throat was slit in bathroom itself indicated that crime is chilling, monstrous and chilling.

Pradyumn, a Class 2 student of Ryan International School, was found dead with his throat slit lying in a pool of blood near a toilet in the school campus on September 8. CBI on November 10 had apprehended the class XI student. According to the probing agency, the suspect allegedly murdered Pradyuman to defer school examination and parent-teacher meeting (PTM). The agency did not find any evidence of sexual assault, a CBI spokesperson said on Wednesday.
