Hours after Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot termed the development unfortunate an said he wished things could have been fixed within the party ‘collaboratively’. "Unfortunate to see @JM_Scindia parting ways with @INCIndia. I wish things could have been resolved collaboratively within the party," Pilot said in a tweet on Wednesday.
Earlier, Scindia joined the BJP in presence of the ruling party's president JP Nadda. “There have been 2 life changing events for me – September 30, 2001- the day I lost my father and the second, March 10, 2020 - when I decided to choose a new path for my life,” Scindia said soon after joining the party. Taking a dig at Congress party, Scindia said, "I can say with confidence that the aim of public service is not being fulfilled by that party (Congress). Besides this, the present condition of the party indicates that it is not what it used to be."
Political instability continues to emerge from Madhya Pradesh where Jyotiraditya Scindia joining the BJP has plunged the state into chaos. The Kamal Nath government is on the brink of collapse as 22 Congress MLAs resigned from the Assembly.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan Welcomes Jyotiraditya Scindia In BJP
Chouhan has welcomed Scindia in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying it is a joyous day for him as well as the party. “Today, I remember Rajmata Scindia ji. Jyotiraditya Scindia has become a member of the BJP family. Yashodhara ji is here with us. The entire family is with BJP. They have a tradition where politics is a medium to serve people,” Shivraj said while speaking to media persons.

When asked to comment on the slogan “Hamara Neta Shivraj, Maaf Karo Maharaj” during state election, Shivraj they are both together now. “If there was anyone in Congress who was popular, it was 'Maharaj' (#JyotiradityaMScindia) so we used to say 'Maaf Karo Maharaj'. Now Maharaj and Shivraj Singh Chouhan are one and in BJP (Ab Maharaj aur Shivraj ek hain, BJP mein),” the former chief minister said.
