Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Gopal Yadav on Thursday tendered an unconditional apology for the conduct of his party MP Neeraj Shekhar in the Rajya Sabha.
When the House met for the day, Yadav said he was not present in the House when the said misconduct by Shekhar took place on Wednesday. "I, on his behalf and on my behalf, tender an unconditional apology," Yadav stated.
On this, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said he wants the dignity of the House of be maintained at all times. However, neither Naidu nor Yadav gave any further details about Shekhar’s misconduct.

President Ram Nath Kovind summoned the Rajya Sabha to meet on June 20, 2019 for the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament, that commenced on June 17 with the newly elected members of the 17th Lok Sabha administered the oath on the first two days.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be presenting the first budget of the Modi 2.0 dispensation on July 5. The session will end on July 26.
