Mubeen Ahmed, a 26-year-old native of Sangareddy district suffered injuries after being shot by an unidentified person in California early on Sunday, according to the family members of the victim.
Mubeen who went to United States to pursue his Masters course in a University, had completed the course two months ago and was doing a temporary job at a private store at a location a few km away from California.
As per the reports by Telangana Today, Mujeeb Ahmed, the victim’s father who works at a military institution in Secunderabad stated that Mubeen was at the store when a few persons of black origin came in to make some purchase.

“There was some altercation between the customers and Mubeen. Later, they fired at him resulting in a rupture in his stomach and damage to liver”, said Mujeeb.
Mubeen was taken to Eden Medical Centre in Castro Valley where he underwent surgery.
“Two of our relatives who stay in Chicago have reached California and are attending to Mubeen. Doctors said that his condition continues to be critical,” the distraught father said.
The family members have approached Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao and other public representatives and sought their help in going to the United States.

“My son is still unconscious and certain medical decisions have to be taken after discussion with the doctors there. I request the Telangana government to immediately help us”, Mujeeb Ahmed appealed.
