The Supreme Court Collegium on Monday made public the names it has recommended for transfers some of the High Court judges, including the judges of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Manipur and Gauhati High Courts, said the official.
The collegium comprising, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra, next-in-line CJI Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice MB Lokur, Justice Joseph Kurian and Justice AK Sikri has made the recommendations, said the sources.
The minutes of the collegium meeting, which was held on September 7, 2018 were published on the Supreme Court website on Monday, it said.

According to reports, the collegium has resolved to transfer Justice Lanusungkum Jamir, who is currently serving as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court, to the Manipur High Court.
Justice Jamir has been functioning as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court since May 23, 2013.
In the interest of better administration of the court, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, who is at present working as one of the senior most judges of the Manipur High Court since March 23, 2013, has been proposed to transferred to the Gauhati High Court, the resolution states.
Justice Singh also took charge as an Acting Chief Justice of Manipur from July 2017 to February 2018, till Justice Abhilasha Kumari of Gujarat High Court elevated as the new Chief Justice of Manipur on February 9, 2018.
Meanwhile, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, who has been functioning as a judge of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has been recommended to his parent court – the Delhi High Court, following his request. Justice Kait has been serving as a judge Telangana and Andhra Pradesh since April, 2016.

However, the collegium had turned down the request of the Chhattisgarh High Court’s Justice Pritinker Diwaker to reconsider his transfer to the Allahabad High Court, which was recommended in January this year.
The resolution states, “The Collegium does not find any merit in his representation and is, therefore, of the opinion that the request made by Mr. Justice Pritinker Diwaker cannot be acceded to. The Collegium accordingly resolves to reiterate its recommendation dated 10th January, 2018 for his transfer, in interest of better administration of justice, to the Allahabad High Court.”
