Scattered rains offered slight respite to residents of the national capital today with the minimum temperature recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius, a Met office official said.

“There were traces of rainfall in few areas of the capital before 8.30 AM,” the official said.

According to the forecast, the day will be generally cloudy with the possibility of rain or thunderstorm at few places.

Humidity was recorded at 51 per cent at 8.30 AM.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal while the minimum had settled at 25.6 degrees Celsius.
