Section of a building in C-Block area of Delhi's Connaught Place collapsed on Thursday, raising concerns about the safety of old buildings in the national capital.
The incident took place at 2:00am, the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, reports said. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.
Reports said that the two shops in the upper area of the building were vacant for a long time, which is why no person was there when the incident occurred.
However, a security guard was present in the building at the time of the incident but he escaped unhurt.
