Ahead of US President’s much-anticipated India visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to post a heart-felt welcome message for Donald Trump. Quoting Trump’s tweet where he said that he was leaving for India, PM Modi tweeted: “India awaits your arrival @POTUS @realDonaldTrump ! Your visit is definitely going to further strengthen the friendship between our nations. See you very soon in Ahmedabad.” Latest reports suggest that PM Modi has left for Ahmedabad. He will hold a roadshow with Trump. Later, both leaders will attend the ‘Namaste Trump’ event at Motera Stadium. Stringent security measures have been put in place in view of the VVIP trip. News Nation has learnt that the DRDO has deployed anti-drone security system for the entire route of the roadshow. (Namaste Trump LIVE UPDATES)

Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra also tweeted about the mega trip. “#MaruAmdavad is all geared up & ready to say #NamasteTrump Join the #IndiaRoadShow to welcome @POTUS @FLOTUS @PMOIndia! Let’s make this historic day for our beautiful city truly memorable,” Nehra said on micro-blogging site.Entry has begun at the Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium. Spread over 63 acres, Motera stadium is world’s largest cricket stadium. Built at the cost for Rs 700 crore, the Motera stadium can seat over 1 lakh people.
