Senior JD(U) leader and MP Sharad Yadav on Thursday met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi after his party president Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar CM and formed a government with support of BJP in the state.
Sharad Yadav has also called a meeting of party leaders who are upset with Nitish Kumar’s decision. The meeting will be held at his residence at 5 pm.
Earlier in the day, the leader had refused to talk to media person when they had approached the senior leader for his reaction on BJP-JD(U) tie up.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi hit out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for joining hands with the BJP, alleging that he had returned to the “communal forces” for his selfish political motives.

Gandhi, whose party was part of the Grand Alliance in Bihar that was deserted by Kumar’s JD(U) last evening, said that he was aware that it was being planned for the last three-four months.
“He (Nitish) had joined hands with us in the anti-communal fight, but Nitish Kumar, for his personal politics, joined hands with those against whom he had fought,” said a seething Gandhi.
