Jammu And Kashmir: 2 Terrorists Killed In Ganderbal Encounter, Soldier Injured
At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out on Tuesday in Gund area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Kulan area of the central Kashmir district in the morning following inputs about the presence of militants. Two terror suspects arrested at the Mohali Airport last week have revealed a sinister plot that includes foreign funding and series of grenade blasts across Punjab. Latest media reports say that two suspects – Lakhwir Singh and Surinder Kaur – have told the security agencies that they used to receive huge amount of funds in their accounts to buy weapons and other purposes. Lakhwir Singh, 23, who belongs to Hoshiarpur used to work in Dubai. He had recently returned home when he was arrested at the airport. Whereas Sukhwinder Kaur is a resident of Faridkot.
