Sir Ganga Ram Hospital gets ex-AIIMS director MC Misra as new head of General and Laparoscopic Surgery

One of India’s top general surgeons MC Misra joined as an honourary senior consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. Misra is the former Director of AIIMS. 

According to a statement issued by the private hospital, he will be with the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery.

Misra served as director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for over three years. He had retired from AIIMS on January 31.At AIIMS, he also served as the chief of AIIMS Trauma Center from June 2008.

"In his tenure as director, Dr Misra created a dynamic policy environment, with adequate resource availability," Deputy director (administration), AIIMS, V Srinivas had said at the time of Misra’s retirement.
