Situation tense in Arunachal Pradesh after Kalikho Pul suicide, angry protestors set coffin on fire

Tense situation prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh after sudden death of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul. His body was found hanging with a fan at his residence in Itanagar on Tuesday morning.

# Situation tensed in Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) after supporters of Kalikho Pul symbolically burned a coffin.

# There was no suicide note in Pul's room. Reason of his suicide could be depression.

"No suicide note has been recovered with Kalikho’s dead body, depression is being suspected as the prime reason behind alleged suicide," a MHA source said.

One of his three wives found him hanging this morning. He is survived by three wives and four children. (Also read: Kalikho Pul allegedly commits suicide)

As Pul's death news spread all the MLAs from ruling and opposition parties, ministers, friends and members of public rushed to the bungalow.
