New Delhi:

Six people on Saturday thrashed by a mob in Delhi's Baba Haridas Nagar for carrying buffalo calves. Many vehicles were vandalised by mob. The calves were released later on.

Police registered FIR against attackers. The FIR was lodged one of driver Ali Jaan’s son against the attackers.

After the incident, locals gathered at the spot and tried to rough up the truckers accusing them of carrying buffaloes illegally.

However, policemen reached the spot on time and brought the situation under control.

Earlier, a man was lynched to death in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district for allegedly carrying beef in his van.

Alimuddin alias Asgar Ansari was carrying “banned meat” in a van, police sources said.

Alimuddin was stopped by a group of people near Bajartand village, beat him black and blue and set his van on fire.
