Congress on Friday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for his Skill India Mission. The mission is labeled as a massive scam with only the people within the BJP and middlemen garnering the profits that are meant for beneficiaries.
Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi has released a press statement pertaining to a media investigation and said, “Like everything else that the Modi government does, its Skill India Mission has also turned out to be a massive scam with people within the BJP eco-system, its cronies, middlemen, touts, and mafia pocketing the money for the same and listing ghost beneficiaries."
In his statement, he alleged that the mission is turning into an option of ‘fast billing for BJP’s friends’ while the actual motive of skilling the youth is left behind. He said that the Modi government is taking advantage in the name of making youth employable. The Skill Development is just another shortcut to fill pockets of the unscrupulous, according to Singhvi.

He further added that his party demands a comprehensive impartial investigation into the matter and the existing irregularities. He also probed for a recovery of the crores of people’s money “lost” due to the irregularities.
