In yet another shameful incident SpiceJet showed pink slip to one of its pilot for allegedly harassing and misbehaving with an air hostess aboard a Bangkok bound flight. The pilot had allegedly asked the air hostess to sit with him in cockpit of a Boeing 737 on both legs and making her sit on his seat. The co-pilot was sent out of cockpit for a long time.
This serious breach of security and safety could have also taken a toll on the passengers aboard the Kolkata-Bangok flight. The pilot also allegedly used offensive language with the air hostess.
The air hostess has filed the complaint against the pilot to the concerned authorities and also took the matter to Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
DGCA chief M Sathiyavathi ensured of strict action against the pilot, if found guilty. For this, the pilot’s license might also get cancelled. SpiceJet has sacked the pilot after the incident. The statement of all the concerned parties has also been recorded.
