Yadav family feud cost Akhilesh Yadav the throne of Uttar Pradesh, now it seems, it will also cost him blessing and guidance of his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Senior Samajwadi Party leader and Akhilesh's uncle Shivpal Yadav on Friday told a news agency that he is forming a new party 'Samajwadi Secular Morcha'.

SP party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav will be the party chief of Samajwadi Secular Morcha, Shivpal said.

"We will soon announce the launch of this 'morcha'. The aim of this party is to restore the honour of 'Netaji' (Mulayam) and bring back all Samajwadis under one umbrella," he added.

According to reports, Shivpal will soon be meeting state and national level leaders regarding the same. The party will also include minorities, farmers and youth.

Two factions of Samajwadi Party sparred in massive family drama in 2016 ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. At the ned of the battle, Akhilesh Yadav emerged victoriously and presumed the reins of Samajwadi Party, while Mulayam and his brother Shivpal were sidelined.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is also the founder of SP, had refused to campaign for the party during the assembly elections.
