Strike of auto and taxi against app-based cab services in Delhi ends

After pinching commuters for nearly 3 days, auto and taxi drivers ended their strike against the app-based cab services in Delhi.

They were protesting against the low fare policy by various app based taxi services to attract the commuters, causing severe losses to normal taxi drivers.

The commuters were left stranded at various places including railway stations, ISBTs, airport and metro stations as thousands of autos and taxis remained off the city's roads due to the strike called by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of 20 auto and taxis (yellow-black) unions.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had blamed Lt Governor Najeeb Jung for all the troubles commuters faced during the strike.

Meanwhile, there were also reports saying many taxi cabs and autos were forcefully stopped from operation in the city.
