BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday filed PIL in Delhi High Court in Sunanda Pushkar case. Swamy sought court monitored probe and re-investigation by Delhi police.

Sunanda was found dead in a suite of a five star hotel in South Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014. A year later, a murder case was registered.

Earlier, the new medical board submitted its report on Sunanda Pushkar’s death. It said that the cause of her death is inconclusive. The report was given to Delhi Police's SIT.

This board was constituted in March 2016. It was set up on instructions of director general health services. It was formed when then Commissioner of Police BS Bassi said AIIMS had failed to reach conclusion.

AIIMS autopsy department also could not find the reason behind Sunanda's death in November 15, FBI had said Sunanda's death is unnatural but ruled out radioactive poisoning.
