The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to N Srinivasan and Niranjan Shah for participating in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s annual general meeting. The Apex Court adjourned the matter till September 24.
The CoA had accused Srinivasan of disrupting meetings for transparency. It was mentioned in the report that despite Srinivasan being disqualified to become member of BCCI, he attended the meeting.
In the report, it was said that Srinivasan along with Shah took substantial amount of time in the meeting and forced others to oppose CoA’s transparency resolutions. It was also said that both of them created chaos in the meeting.
Srinivasan’s counsel defended him by saying that CoA suffers from 'Srinivasan phobia' and the CoA's only agenda appears to do Srinivasan bashing.
