Railways Ministry on Wednesday announced that it will introduce flexi fare pricing in its Rajdhani, Duronto and Shatabdi trains from September 9.

Here are 10 things you need to know about the announcement:

#There will be no change in the existing fare for 1AC and Executive Class of travel in premier trains.

#For 2AC and Chair Car, the maximum hike is 50 per cent while for 3AC, it is 40 per cent.

#10 per cent of the seats will be sold in the normal fare in the beginning, it will go on increasing by 10 per cent with every 10 per cent of berths sold.

#Other supplementary charges like reservation charges, superfast charge, catering charges, service tax as applicable shall remain unchanged.

#The last price for every class of tickets for the particular train to be printed in the reservation chart.

#Tatkal will be available at 150 percent of base fare

#No Premium Tatkal Quota in these trains.

#Tickets already issued at pre-revised rates, the difference of fare will not be collected from the passengers.

#There are total 42 Rajdhani trains, 46 Shatabdi and 54 Duronto trains.

#No change in the existing refund rules.
