A day ahead of the second anniversary of the surgical strike on September 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated an Army exhibition named Parakram Parv at Jodhpur Military Station on Friday. The exhibition is organised by Konark Corps on Indian Army's combat capability to celebrate two years of the historic surgical strike across the LoC. The event is scheduled to take place between 9 am to 10:15 am.
Post that, PM Modi along with Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the Combined Commanders' conference at the Jodhpur Air Force Station Friday. Besides, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, three services chiefs and several key military and civil officials of the Defence Ministry will take part in the conference.

Keeping in mind the security arrangements, a team of the Special Protection Group (SPG), tasked with the prime minister's 'proximate security' has reached Jodhpur to take stock of the areas in the vicinity of the Military and Air Force stations.
The prime minister will leave for New Delhi after completion of the conference this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Sitharaman will also pay a visit to India Gate lawns, New Delhi to commemorate the inauguration of Parakram Parv and will also interact with children.
The three-day exhibition, which will kick-start at 6:30 pm today, will stream different movies and photographs showcasing valour and courage of the Armed Forces. Citizens from across India will be allowed to send their messages to soldiers by signing on the huge digital canvas, installed in the campus.

Apart from that, letters addressed to soldiers by school children and captured weapons of terrorists will also be on the display. Celebrations will take place at 53 other locations in 51 cities all over the country.
