New Delhi:
After the Indian Army’s surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC), the villages in Pathankot have been evacuated as a precautionary measure, reports said on Thursday. Villages near Attari sector in Punjab were evacuated.
All the schools that are located within 10 kilometers of India-Pakistan border will remain closed till further orders, Ferozepur District Education Officer said.
The emergency ward of a Civil Hospital in Pathankot was also cleared in preparation for any eventuality following the ‘surgical strike’. The villages near the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir were also evacuated.
