External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said that they will grant medical visa in all pending bonafide cases from Pakistan on auspicious occasion of Independence Day.

Earlier on Sunday, a cancer patient Faiza Tanveer from Pakistan had requested Sushma on Twitter to grant medical visa for treatment in India. Faiza said India should help her in celebrating 71st Independence Day.

"Ma'am you are mother for me. Please grant me visa as India is about to celebrate its 70th Independence Day. Please help me thankyou," wrote Faiza on Twitter.

Replying to the request, Sushma tweeted that she is giving visa to her.

"Thanks for your greetings on India's Independence day. We are giving you the visa for your treatment in India," wrote Sushma on Twitter.
