Earlier, Sushma Swaraj was slated to meet Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the sidelines of the UNGA, following India’s acceptance of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s proposal for a meeting. However, Indian government cancelled the meeting citing the heinous killings of three police in Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad of Pakistan releasing stamps of militant Burhan Wani.
Qureshi is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on September 29.
US President Donald Trump will also address the General Assembly on September 25.
